Make order execution visible
Starting from orders and production plans, work can be organized by lot, operation or work center. Operators record starts, completions, quantities and exceptions at the point of work. Supervisors gain a clearer view of work in progress and open issues without relying solely on verbal updates or retrospective summaries.
For mixed-model production, workflows can be configured around product and process rules, including operation steps, instructions and required data. Changeovers, rework and urgent orders should also be considered so system records remain aligned with actual execution.
Link test and quality records to each product
Based on the site’s identification method, process history can be associated with a product, lot or serial number. Material batches, key operations, test results and quality decisions can be linked within the agreed scope, helping teams investigate affected items and their process history when an issue occurs.
Where interfaces are available and included in the project, relevant results may be collected from or linked to test and inspection equipment. Data fields, acceptance rules and exception handling should be confirmed with production and quality teams so system records match the actual inspection standard.
Coordinate materials, people and exceptions
Connecting work orders with materials and operations enables checks against the required parts and work instructions at key steps. Material shortages, mismatches, equipment delays and quality issues can be recorded with their affected operations and handling status, supporting shift handovers and later review.
A practical rollout typically begins by reviewing product identifiers, routings, material rules and quality data, then validating workflows with representative products or areas. Once data definitions and shop-floor usage are confirmed, coverage can expand incrementally. Scope, interfaces and timing depend on discovery and the project agreement.
